The Fieldays No.8 Wire National Art Award in Hamilton is a show close to Asaki's heart. She finds it to be a very 'NZ' experience and is encouraged every year to keep pushing her ideas and materials. She sees it as a great opportunity to meet and exhibit work alongside terrific artists from around the country, and to have her work viewed by enthusiastic audiences and top judges.
The Wildflower Sculpture Exhibition was a biennial outdoor show in Hawke's Bay which ran from 2008 to 2020 and offered the challenges of open-air exhibiting, and Asaki enjoyed the chance to work on site-specific pieces.
